The Duxbury community is gearing up for a long-standing tradition that has become a popular event for local artists and community members alike. The Duxbury Art Association has announced their annual Craft Showcase is returning for its 51st year. This annual celebration of the local art scene promises to showcase a diverse array of handcrafted items from talented New England artists and crafters. The Duxbury Art Association, which organizes the event, explains a bit about what to expect, stating:
"This special event features hand-crafted items from our very own talented New England artists and crafters, including unique jewelry, clothing, ceramics, woodworking, home decor and more. A great opportunity to support small business and finding that perfect holiday gift."
Scheduled for Saturday, November 23rd at Duxbury High School, the Duxbury Art Association's 51st Annual Craft Showcase will run from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be a $5 admission fee granting full weekend access (and free entry for children under 12). All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the programs and mission of the Duxbury Art Association, further reinforcing its commitment to fostering art and creativity in the local community.
As Duxbury prepares for this half-century-old tradition, the event serves as a reminder of the vital role art plays in fostering community spirit and supporting local economies. Whether you're making a trip by yourself to get some Christmas shopping done, or you meet up with friends to attend together as a fun and festive get-together, the Duxbury Art Association's 51st Annual Craft Showcase promises to be a delightful way to kick off the holiday season while supporting local artisans.
