Although summer is the first season that comes to mind when it comes to fresh produce and local products, don't let the weather fool you, winter is a great time to check out your local farmers market. So grab your reusable bag, check out this list, and head out to the nearest farmers' market to enjoy a day of community, discovery, and fun!

Hingham Farmers Market
The Hingham Farmers Market, which prides itself on being the third oldest farmers market in Massachusetts, is returning for another year of locally produced food and handcrafted treasures. Returning on Saturday, January 4th, and continuing through March 39th, the Hingham Farmers Market is being hosted at the Wompatuck State Park Visitors Center on Saturdays from 10 am until 1 pm.

Marshfield Farmers Market
The Marshfield Farmer Market is open year-round and hosted on the Marshfield Fairgrounds. During the colder months, from October until May, you'll find this farmers market open on the third Saturday of every month from 10 am until 1 pm at the Marshfield Fairgrounds under the Grandstands. Be sure to mark your calendar and bring a friend to this indoor farmers market!

Plymouth Farmers Market
The Plymouth Farmers Market is making its eagerly anticipated return for the 2025 winter season, bringing a vibrant array of locally made foods and artisanal goods to the community. The market, hosted at the Mayflower Brewing Company (12 Resnik Road), will operate once a month from January through April, offering residents a chance to support local vendors during the winter months. Operating from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM one Thursday each month, the Plymouth Farmers Market offers a cozy, welcoming space for visitors to browse and buy fresh, locally sourced products.
The first market of 2025 will be held on Thursday, January 9th with the event returning monthly until April. The dates of each of Plymouth’s winter farmers markets will be:

Weymouth Farmers Market
The Weymouth Farmers Market is set to return for the 2025 winter season, with another year of delicious locally grown and produced food, a variety of handcrafted products, and community fun! "Vendors include locally grown produce, meats, mushrooms, baked goods and breads, honey, dog treats, spices, sauces, artisan crafts, and more," explains the Weymouth Farmers Market. "HIP vendor Barbosa Family Farm will be joining us, and thanks to the generosity of the Weymouth Food Pantry, offer a SNAP match program (doubling EBT dollars up to $20/market.)"
The first market of 2025 will be held on Sunday, January 12th from 10 am until 1 pm, with the event returning monthly until April. The dates of each of Weymouth's winter farmers markets will be:
