Weymouth Library to Host Community "Plant Swap"
Whether you're new to gardening or a longtime plant lover, this Plant Swap is a great way to rehome a plant while also adding to your collection!
The Weymouth Public Libraries is set to host a community plant exchange event on Saturday, June 14th at 2:30 PM. The gathering will take place on the outdoor terrace of Tufts Library, offering residents an opportunity to swap and share their beloved plants. Whether you're new to gardening or a longtime plant lover, this Plant Swap is a great way to rehome a plant while also adding to your collection- all while meeting new people in your community with the same interest!
Participants are invited to bring up to five indoor plants, outdoor plants, or plant clippings suitable for rehoming. To ensure smooth transitions for the plants, contributors are asked to label each specimen with its name, indoor/outdoor designation, and basic care instructions. The library requests that large plants be excluded from the exchange.
This local Plant Swap promotes sustainable gardening practices while fostering community connections through the shared interest in plant care. Those interested in expanding their plant collection or finding new homes for their existing plants are encouraged to participate in this free exchange program.
