Weather Forces Cancellation of Final August Farmers Market in Weymouth
The market assured patrons that they will resume in September.
The Weymouth Farmers Market scheduled for Wednesday, August 20th, has been canceled due to inclement weather, organizers announced today. "Good morning all, due to the ongoing forecast of rain and cool temperatures we have made the decision to cancel tonight's market," stated the Weymouth Farmers Market in their announcement. The cancellation comes as a disappointment to many who had planned to attend the bi-weekly event, which features locally grown produce, artisan goods, and community activities.
The Weymouth Farmers Market operates every other Wednesday from 4 PM to 7 PM at Weston Park. The market assured patrons that they will resume in September, concluding their announcement with "Thank you and see you in September!" Vendors who typically offer fresh produce, meats, baked goods, crafts, and other local products will return when the market reopens next month.
