Quincy Library Brings Back Popular Summer Clothing & Book Swap
Donations will be accepted between August 6th to the 8th (not on the day of the event) during regular library hours, with a limit of 10 items per person.
The Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy is organizing its 3rd Summer Community Clothing & Book Swap on Saturday, August 9, 2025. The event will run from 2 PM until 4 PM at the Main Library's Community Meeting Room. "The TCPL Summer Community Clothing & Book Swap returns on Saturday, August 9," the library announced. The popular community event aims to promote sustainability and community sharing. "Please only donate clean and gently used items," the library emphasized. Donations will be accepted between August 6th to the 8th (not on the day of the event) during regular library hours, with a limit of 10 items per person.
The library also noted that participation doesn't require a donation. "You don't need to donate in order to attend and participate," they stated, encouraging broader community involvement. Any items that remain unclaimed after the event will be donated to local organizations supporting neighbors in need, furthering the community impact of the initiative. For additional information about the swap, community members can visit www.t.ly/ThriftSwap825.
