The highly anticipated Free Play Bar Arcade officially opens its doors on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 4 PM. After months of preparation and securing all necessary permits and licenses, the establishment at 904 County Street is finally ready to welcome visitors. The City of Taunton made the exciting announcement, giving the community a sneak peek at what to expect at the new business.
According to the City of Taunton, the arcade features an impressive collection of 105 different video games, including beloved retro classics like Frogger, Pac-Man, Q-Bert, and Atari Food Fight. Additionally, gaming enthusiasts will find 18 pinball machines and various dance games previously featured at Round One in the former Galleria Mall. Admission prices are set at $8 from Sunday through Thursday and $12 on Friday and Saturday, with all games available for free play once inside.
The Free Play Bar Arcade caters to adults 21 and over, with plans to introduce family-friendly Sunday afternoons in the coming weeks. Visitors can enjoy bar pizza served in boxes with paper plates, encouraging a casual, mobile dining experience while gaming. A full bar service is also available.
