Meet The Tiny 9lb Little Lady Looking For Love
Mya is described as being filled with love, with a gentle nature, and loyal spirit.
Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based dog rescue in Massachusetts, recently introduced a charming little 2-year-old dog named Mya who is searching for her forever home. This petite canine, weighing just 9 pounds, has already experienced the challenges of motherhood and narrowly escaped a dire fate at a kill shelter. "This little mom has been through a lot—she and her puppy, Mikey, were saved from a kill shelter just in time," explains the nonprofit animal shelter that was able to step in and save her.
Mya is described as being filled with love, with a gentle nature, and loyal spirit. "Despite her tough past, Mya’s heart is full of love, and she’s ready to start a new chapter with a family who’ll cherish her," states Sandy Paws Rescue.
Currently, Mya is waiting to be transported to Massachusetts later this month and will be available to be adopted mid-November. She is also up-to-date with her vaccines and is spayed. Now all Mya needs is someone to take a chance on her and give her the loving home she deserves.
Sandy Paws Rescue is a nonprofit rescue in Massachusetts that works to save dogs and give them a second chance by finding them their forever home. Sandy Paws Rescue explains that they "rescue dogs from various shelters, cruelty situations, owner surrenders in Massachusetts, and strays from Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida." They don't have a shelter location therefore all of their dogs wait to find their forever homes while fostered in private foster homes or kennels.
Sandy Paws Rescue is a "100% volunteer-only operation," with most of their volunteers having full-time day jobs in addition to the work they do for the rescue. They explain "our only personal gain, is from seeing our dogs placed in wonderful homes." Sandy Paws Rescue operates and is only able to exist due to donations made to the nonprofit rescue. From transporting them from one state to another, to paying all medical bills, food, and more- running a dog rescue is expensive. "Our adoption fees do not cover the amount that we spend on our puppies/dogs to vet and transport them," explains Sandy Paws Rescue.
Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption. Please note that at this time, Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. is only adopting to those living in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and some areas in Connecticut. Sandy Paws Rescue adopts to other New England states on a case-by-case basis. For more information on how to adopt from Sandy Paws Inc., visit their website at https://www.sandypawsmv.com.
