Meet Natasha: The Sweet "Big Baby" Looking For Love
Described as being a sweetheart and a big baby, this 50lb pup is "as friendly as they come".
Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based rescue organization in Massachusetts, has recently introduced an adorable two-year-old dog named Natasha. Described as being a sweetheart and a big baby, this 50lb pup is "as friendly as they come". This gentle soul has already captured the hearts of her foster family with her endearing personality and adaptable nature.
In her foster home, Natasha has proven herself to be exceptionally well-behaved. She's mastered the art of crate training, turning her personal space into a cozy retreat where she contentedly snuggles with her bed and blanket. Her foster family reports zero destructive behaviors, as she responsibly channels her chewing instincts toward appropriate toys. Furthermore, Natasha is submissive and friendly around other dogs, making her an excellent candidate for homes with existing furry family members. Even more impressive is her cat-friendly nature, opening up possibilities for homes with feline companions.
While Natasha is still working on building her confidence with leash walking, she's shown remarkable progress. Initially hesitant and prone to nibbling at the leash, she's now developing greater comfort during walks. With continued positive reinforcement and patient guidance, she's expected to become a wonderful walking companion.
Indoors, Natasha is the ultimate companion for relaxation. Her gentle, docile nature shines through as she lounges contentedly, always eager for affection. Perhaps her most charming trait is her endearing full-body wiggle of appreciation when receiving pets, a heartwarming display of her loving personality.
Sandy Paws Rescue is currently seeking a foster-to-adopt situation in New England for Natasha, aiming to expedite her journey from Texas to a permanent loving home. This arrangement would allow her to begin bonding with her potential forever family while ensuring a smooth transition. For those seeking a sweet-natured, affectionate companion who exemplifies the perfect balance of gentle energy and loving devotion, Natasha could be the ideal match.
Sandy Paws Rescue is a nonprofit rescue in Massachusetts that works to save dogs like Natasha and give them a second chance by finding them their forever home. Sandy Paws Rescue explains that they "rescue dogs from various shelters, cruelty situations, owner surrenders in Massachusetts, and strays from Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida." They don't have a shelter location therefore all of their dogs wait to find their forever homes while fostered in private foster homes or kennels.
Sandy Paws Rescue is a "100% volunteer-only operation," with most of their volunteers having full-time day jobs in addition to the work they do for the rescue. They explain "our only personal gain, is from seeing our dogs placed in wonderful homes." Sandy Paws Rescue operates and is only able to exist due to donations made to the nonprofit rescue. From transporting them from one state to another, to paying all medical bills, food, and more- running a dog rescue is expensive. "Our adoption fees do not cover the amount that we spend on our puppies/dogs to vet and transport them," explains Sandy Paws Rescue.
Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption. Please note that at this time, Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. is only adopting to those living in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and some areas in Connecticut. Sandy Paws Rescue adopts to other New England states on a case-by-case basis. For more information on how to adopt from Sandy Paws Inc., visit their website at https://www.sandypawsmv.com.
