Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based dog rescue in Massachusetts, recently introduced a delightful one-year-old Shih Tzu mix named Goblin. This adorable pup, weighing just 14 pounds, is currently searching for his forever home and family and has recently come into the care of Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. Described as the "happiest little Shih Tzu mix around," Goblin is a little dog filled with lots of love who is always "ready to spread some cheer". His friendly demeanor extends to both humans and fellow canines, making him an ideal pet for various household dynamics. Goblin's easygoing personality shines through in his willingness to share, even at times allowing other dogs to eat from his bowl – a rare and endearing trait.

Despite his small stature, Goblin is full of energy and always ready for new adventures. He excels in car rides, making him a perfect companion for families who enjoy outings. Sandy Paws Rescue is a nonprofit rescue in Massachusetts that works to save dogs like Goblin and give them a second chance by finding them their forever home. Sandy Paws Rescue explains that they "rescue dogs from various shelters, cruelty situations, owner surrenders in Massachusetts, and strays from Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida." They don't have a shelter location therefore all of their dogs wait to find their forever homes while fostered in private foster homes or kennels.

Sandy Paws Rescue is a "100% volunteer-only operation," with most of their volunteers having full-time day jobs in addition to the work they do for the rescue. They explain "our only personal gain, is from seeing our dogs placed in wonderful homes." Sandy Paws Rescue operates and is only able to exist due to donations made to the nonprofit rescue. From transporting them from one state to another, to paying all medical bills, food, and more- running a dog rescue is expensive. "Our adoption fees do not cover the amount that we spend on our puppies/dogs to vet and transport them," explains Sandy Paws Rescue.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption. Please note that at this time, Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. is only adopting to those living in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and some areas in Connecticut.
