Live Music, Mocktails & More: You're Invited to Lakeville's Free Summer Concert Series
Get ready for an exciting summer of music!
Get ready for an exciting summer of music! The Lakeville Arts Council's popular summer concert series brings the community great music every Tuesday in July, featuring four different musical acts at the newly relocated Center Stage. The series kicked off last week on July 8th with The Moonbellies. Up next is The Wooden Project Band, who will be playing on July 15th, bringing their rich blend of traditional, country, and bluegrass sounds. “The Wooden Project Band is a South Shore based band playing traditional, Country, bluegrass, and originals. They have performed at Civil War re-enactments, music festivals, Coffee Houses, farmers markets, and private functions. They also played at the 2024 Lakeville Arts & Music Festival,” explains the Lakeville Arts Council on the event site.
On July 22nd, Black Vinyl will entertain. “Black Vinyl is all about nostalgia to dance to! The band is a cover band from the South Shore playing familiar hits by playing classic rock, 90’s alternative, and current hits,” states the Lakeville Arts Council. The series concludes on July 29th with Total Strangers, a five-piece band. “Hailing from Plymouth, Total Strangers is a five-piece pop-rock band that consistently delivers a live set of nonstop high-energy original music creating a sound that is steeped in classic rock, soul, funk, reggae, and pop, but is unmistakably all their own.”
The concerts take place at Center Stage, now located next to Sampson Cemetery on Bedford Street, on the public grounds in front of Lakeville Public Library. According to the Lakesville Arts Council, the Center Stage now features a permanent cover with lighting. All performances run from 6 PM to 8 PM, with The Traveling Spirit mocktail trailer offering refreshing beverages at each event. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for these free concerts. In case of inclement weather, updates are posted on the Arts Council's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LakevilleArtsCouncil.MA/.
