The iconic Paragon Carousel in Hull, Massachusetts, has announced an exciting new addition to its historic location. On Thursday, June 5th, 2025, the carousel revealed plans for Hometown Arcade to join them, describing it as "a brand new arcade experience filled with classic games, family fun, and nostalgic vibes." When a commenter asked where it would be located, Paragon Carousel revealed the new arcade will be located adjacent to the Paragon Carousel on Nantasket Beach.
The new arcade comes as welcome news to community members who have missed having an arcade in the area, with one commenter noting, "I was so disappointed when the old arcade was ripped down for condos. We loved it there and there needs to be something to do over there." The arcade will be operated by Hometown Arcade, who already have three locations in New England, bringing their established expertise in arcade gaming to the beachfront location. In response to community anticipation, Paragon Carousel has expressed enthusiasm and told everyone to "Stay tuned for our grand opening date!"
This expansion adds a new chapter to the rich history of the Paragon Carousel, which has been a cornerstone of local entertainment for nearly a century. Built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1928, the carousel stands as one of Massachusetts' few surviving four-wide carousels and represents the last remaining piece of the original Paragon Park amusement park. As one of less than one hundred grand carousels still operating in the United States, the addition of Hometown Arcade is sure to enhance this historic attraction's appeal to visitors, offering both nostalgic charm and contemporary gaming for visitors to Nantasket Beach.
