Hingham Farmers Market Announces 2025 Opening Day
The third oldest farmers market in Massachusetts is returning for the 2025 spring and summer season!
The Hingham Farmers Market (HFM), which prides itself on being the third oldest farmers market in Massachusetts, is returning for the 2025 spring and summer season, offering locals access to fresh, locally-sourced produce and artisanal goods. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, the Hingham Farmers Market explains on their website that it aims to create a vibrant atmosphere with weekly events and activities for the community. The market features a diverse array of vendors offering everything from farm-fresh vegetables and fruits to artisanal breads, local honey, handcrafted soaps, and unique artwork.
Continuing its mission of making fresh, local food accessible to all community members, the market also accepts SNAP benefits. The market explains on its website that it’s partnered with local businesses to expand its accessibility. The Fruit Center Marketplace and The Hingham Institution for Savings serve as SNAP matching partners, allowing SNAP customers to receive up to $10 per week in matching funds when purchasing eligible items like fresh produce, meat, eggs, bread, and other qualifying food products.
Returning on Saturday, May 3rd, and continuing through November 22nd, the Hingham Farmers Market is being hosted at 95 Station Street on Saturdays from 9 am until 1 pm. Those interested in joining the volunteer team are invited to visit the Friends of the Hingham Market booth to learn more about available opportunities.
