Get Ready For Maple Day: Tree Tapping, Sweet Treats & More!
Maple Day is returning, a one-day-only celebration of the New England maple sugaring season!
Get ready for an unforgettable day of sweet, family-friendly fun! The South Shore YMCA Natural Science Center has announced its annual Maple Day event is returning, a one-day-only celebration of the New England maple sugaring season.
Maple Day is scheduled to happen (rain or shine) from 10 am until 2 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, which coincides with the annual New England maple season. From late February to early April, the region's farmers tap their trees for sap, producing some of the world's finest maple syrup. Maple Day aims to honor this tradition, not only by offering a plethora of maple-infused treats but also by providing attendees with a comprehensive and engaging exploration of the sugaring process.
Hosted by the South Shore YMCA Natural Science Center in Norwell (48 Jacobs Lane), this family-friendly event promises to be educational and delicious – with a tree-tapping and sap boiling demonstration, kids' crafts, live music, maple taste tests, a maple lab, maple food vendors, and more!
