The inaugural Braintree's Festival of Trees, a newly established charitable initiative, promises to bring holiday cheer while serving a greater purpose for the local community.
The festivities kick off on the Town Hall Lawn on December 5th at 5:00 PM with the traditional Braintree Tree Lighting ceremony, featuring a grand entrance by Santa Claus aboard a fire truck and a performance by the High School Choir. However, this year's celebration extends beyond the customary tree lighting, as visitors will be invited inside Town Hall afterward to experience an enchanting display of nearly 50 meticulously decorated Christmas trees.
What makes this event particularly noteworthy is its charitable foundation status, operating independently from the Town of Braintree as a 501(c)(3) organization. The festival, running from December 5th through December 8th, combines holiday festivities with philanthropic goals, as all proceeds will directly benefit Braintree residents.

Local businesses have rallied behind the cause, donating and decorating trees that will be raffled off to lucky winners.
