With all the rainy weekends we've been having over the past few weeks, you may be feeling a bit cooped up and ready to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather! Luckily, there are lots of events happening in Southeastern Massachusetts. From family-friendly festivals to tasty food truck nights returning for the warmer months, there's sure to be something for everyone happening this week. Food Truck Night in Hanover
The South Shore Food Truck Association has brought their popular food truck night back to Hanover for its 8th year of delicious food and live music! They revealed the weekly event would be held at a new location this year, now hosted at the Cardinal Cushing Center (405 Washington Street) every Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Food Truck Night in Braintree
This is the first year the South Shore Food Truck Association (SSFTA) has brought their popular Food Truck Nights to Braintree. The weekly event, held at Highlands Playground (50 South Street) runs every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, through the end of August. Whether you're looking for a place to bring the family for a fun dinner out or a creative date night with your loved one, Braintree's Food Truck Wednesdays adds a new option to the mix this year.

The South Shore Food Truck Association has brought their popular Food Truck Thursdays bakc to Kingston for a fourth year of delicious food, live music, and community fun! The Kingston food truck night promises not only a variety of delicious food from new and returning food trucks but also a different live music performance each week, guaranteeing a fun-filled evening for the whole family.

Rockland Day 2025
The annual Rockland Day festival promises to transform the town into a vibrant hub of community entertainment, bringing together residents and visitors for a day filled with activities, music, and family fun. Recovery Fest in Braintree

Family Fun Day in Taunton
Get ready for a day of summer fun as the Rotary Club of Taunton transforms Camp Riverside into a family-friendly festival later this month! The Rotary Club of Taunton has announced its annual Family Fun Day, which invites members of the community to come together and enjoy a day of free, fun activities for the whole family in a spacious, safe outdoor environment. "Get ready for the ultimate day of fun with the Rotary Club of Taunton as we bring the community together for our annual Family Fun Day," states the Rotary Club of Taunton.
This Family Fun Day promises to kick off the summer season, offering something for everyone to enjoy. According to the event information provided by the Rotary Club of Taunton, activities will include a water slide, splash pad, train rides, pony rides, live music, magic show, balloon animals, climbing tower, ropes course, archery, food trucks, and more!

Wildlife Baby Shower on Cape Cod
Wild Care, a local wildlife rehabilitation center in Eastham, Massachusetts, is gearing up for one of its busiest seasons with a special Wildlife Baby Shower event. The nonprofit organization, which has helped over 35,000 wild creatures representing more than 275 species of native wildlife, continues its mission of treating injured, ill, and orphaned animals while educating the public about wildlife conservation.
The upcoming Wildlife Baby Shower promises to be an engaging family-friendly celebration featuring educational presentations with Animal Ambassadors, including owls, turtles, and Mallory the Mallard Duck. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to peek into the clinic window to observe baby animal patients and enjoy activities such as children's crafts, games, and face painting. The event will also feature refreshments and a special appearance by the "Good Times" ice cream truck.
While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to bring items from Wild Care's Baby Shower Wish List, ranging from basic supplies like tissues and paper towels to specific needs such as heating pads and butterfly habitats (check out the full wishlist below or by clicking here). Those who contribute items will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket filled with local business donations. For supporters unable to attend, Wild Care welcomes monetary donations and gift cards from various retailers to help support their vital work.

Plant Swap in Weymouth
The Weymouth Public Libraries is set to host a community plant exchange event on Saturday, June 14th at 2:30 PM. The gathering will take place on the outdoor terrace of Tufts Library, offering residents an opportunity to swap and share their beloved plants. Whether you're new to gardening or a longtime plant lover, this Plant Swap is a great way to rehome a plant while also adding to your collection- all while meeting new people in your community with the same interest!
Participants are invited to bring up to five indoor plants, outdoor plants, or plant clippings suitable for rehoming. To ensure smooth transitions for the plants, contributors are asked to label each specimen with its name, indoor/outdoor designation, and basic care instructions. The library requests that large plants be excluded from the exchange.

Father's Day Car Show in Hyannis
The Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) has announced the return of the Annual Main Street Father's Day Car Show for its 31st year! This event features over 350 cars, "from every era and style – muscle cars, hot rods, antiques, trucks, and everything in between." The Annual Main Street Father's Day Car Show has been one of the most popular family auto events in New England, with past crowds estimated at 60,000 people. In addition to the impressive lineup of cars, there will also be family-friendly activities, food vendors, local merchants, live music and more, giving every member of the family something to enjoy!
