Dogs Now Allowed On This Cape Cod Beach
The Town of Dennis revealed four-legged friends will now be allowed on this popular beach.
In an exciting announcement for pet owners, the Town of Dennis has revealed that Crowes Pasture Beach will be opening to dogs starting Friday, August 16th, 2024. This decision comes with specific regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all beachgoers, both human and canine. To maintain a harmonious environment at Crowes Pasture Beach, dog owners must adhere to the following rules:
Leash Requirement: Dogs must be on a physical leash and under control at all times. Voice commands or electronic collars are not acceptable substitutes. This rule applies to both the beach and the flats areas. Loose dogs are strictly prohibited. Violating this rule will result in a $50.00 citation and immediate removal from the beach.
Waste Disposal: Dog owners are required to pick up and properly dispose of their dog's waste. Failure to do so will also result in a $50.00 citation and removal from the beach.
Supervision: Dogs must not be left unattended at any time.
While dogs are now welcome at Crowes Pasture Beach, they are not allowed in the commercial aquaculture area. This measure helps protect the local ecosystem and ensures the sustainability of the beach’s natural resources.
The town also emphasizes the importance of keeping dogs hydrated, especially during hot weather. Pet owners are encouraged to bring plenty of fresh water for their furry friends to prevent dehydration and overheating. This new policy provides a great opportunity for dog owners to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Crowes Pasture Beach with their pets. By following the outlined regulations, everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience.
