Delicious Dining with Ocean Views: North End-Inspired Restaurant Opens on Nantasket Beach
The restaurant offers Italian-inspired coastal cuisine with stunning ocean views at its beachfront location.
The wait is over for residents and visitors of Hull, Massachusetts, as Boathouse Bistro has officially opened its doors inside the Nantasket Beach Resort. The restaurant, now open daily from 11:30 AM to 9 PM, offers Italian-inspired coastal cuisine with stunning ocean views at its beachfront location. According to an announcement from Nantasket Beach Resort, the bistro is currently serving lunch, dinner, and takeout, with cocktail service expected to follow "soon-ish" once licensing is finalized. The restaurant markets itself as "A taste of North End brought to your backyard," highlighting its Boston Italian roots.
Boathouse Bistro isn't new to the South Shore dining scene. Since 2015, owners Tinka and Steve McCauley, along with co-owner Albana Jubani, have operated the restaurant at Shipyard Drive in Hingham. "Now, embracing a new chapter, Boathouse Bistro has relocated just seven minutes down the road to 45 Hull Shore Drive, inside the Nantasket Beach Resort," explains Boathouse Bistro on their website. "This move signifies more than a change of address; it’s an evolution of their vision. The new, larger space allows for expanded dining options, catering, and special events, all while maintaining the cozy, home-away-from-home atmosphere that patrons have cherished."
The menu will showcase Italian favorites with a coastal influence. Boathouse Bistro has been sharing photos and videos on social media of what they're serving up. One post highlighted the Spicy Sausage Pizza, which the restaurant describes as "stacked with hot Italian sausage, mozzarella, feta, banana peppers, spinach, and a crispy golden crust." The bistro also shared that their offerings include traditional Italian comfort foods like "chicken parm, eggplant rollatini, chicken ziti broccoli, meatballs and warm, crowd-pleasing trays that get scraped clean every time." Seafood is also featured prominently on the menu, with ingredients delivered daily from North Coast Seafood. Signature dishes include Shrimp Scampi, Seafood Pescatore, and Lobster Ravioli, with a new wood-burning pizza oven expanding their offerings further.
Beyond the dining experience, Boathouse Bistro maintains strong community connections. The staff is known for checking in on regular customers who haven't visited recently and even delivering meals to those in need. The restaurant partners with local organizations such as Father Bills and various churches to provide over 200 weekly meals to community members in need.
"As Boathouse Bistro sets sail in its new location, the team looks forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new guests to share in their continued journey of flavor, family, and community," the owners state, emphasizing that their success is measured as much by community impact as by culinary achievements.
