Cape Cod Central Railroad has announced its first-ever Valentine’s Weekend Sunday Brunch Train, offering couples and friends a romantic way to celebrate the holiday across Cape Cod’s scenic landscape. The special event combines a three-course brunch with a leisurely 2.5 to 3-hour train ride through the region’s marshes, cranberry bogs, and dunes.
“Celebrate VALENTINE’S ALL WEEKEND LONG and join us with your loved ones on our Valentines Weekend Sunday Brunch Train!” the railroad announced. “You will enjoy a delicious three-course brunch while seated in one of our beautifully decorated vintage train cars.”
The Sunday brunch train departs from Hyannis Station at 252 Main Street, with departure times between 11:30 AM and 2 PM. Passengers can choose from several entree selections prepared by the railroad’s chef, including Strawberry Banana Bread Pudding French Toast, Over Stuffer Monté Carlo Croissant, Everything Bagel and Lox Spread, Pomegranate Glazed Salmon, and Poached Pear Oatmeal.
In addition to the Sunday brunch, Cape Cod Central Railroad is also offering its Valentine’s Day Dinner Train. “Enjoy a four course meal with a full bar onboard alongside gorgeous views of Cape Cod!” the railroad shared in its announcement, encouraging potential passengers to act quickly as “tickets will be going fast!”
Passengers have three seating classes to choose from. First Class seats are available in recently renovated historic 1937 dining cars or lower-level dome cars, priced at $69.99 for adults and $54.99 for children. Premium Class offers upper-level full-length dome cars with panoramic views for $94.99 (adults) and $79.99 (children). For those 21 and older, Platinum Class provides access to the vintage 1917 Club Car lounge for $104.99.
The railroad notes that all tables are public by default and seat four passengers, meaning groups of one or two may be seated with another party. However, passengers can guarantee a private table by purchasing the $30 private table option at checkout. “We begin boarding 30-minutes prior to departure and cannot hold the train for late passengers,” the railroad stated. “Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you aboard!”

Love the creativity here with extending Valentine's beyond just Saturday. The tiered seating model is pretty clever too - mixing historic 1937 cars with those panoramic dome views gives people actualoptions based on budget. I dunno if the private table upcharge will be popular, but mixing couples at communal tables could honestly make the experience more intresting. Experiential dining on trains is such an underutilized market.
