Boston Launches Brand-New Late Night Food Truck Program Throughout City
Mayor Michelle Wu announced a new tasty program bringing late-night food trucks to neighborhoods throughout Boston, marking a first in the city's history.
Mayor Michelle Wu announced a new tasty program bringing late-night food trucks to neighborhoods throughout Boston, marking a first in the city's history. This program aims to provide fresh-cooked meals during night hours near hospitals, universities, music venues, and nightlife districts. "Whether you’re coming off a third shift, going out with friends, or just need a snack after a long study session, fresh-cooked food should be easy to find at night," stated Mayor Wu in her announcement.
The initiative will feature ten diverse food vendors operating across seven Boston locations. Participating trucks include Cool Shade Restaurant, El Dugout Restaurant, Hyt Truck, Murl's Kitchen, Augusta's Chicken on the Road, Cousins' Maine Lobster, Sunset Cantina, Matilda's, Los Muchachos, and Extreme Flavor. This program addresses a long-standing gap in Boston's food service landscape, particularly benefiting night shift workers, students, and the late-night entertainment crowd. City officials expect the program to stimulate economic activity in participating neighborhoods while providing a welcome service to Bostonians navigating the late-night hours.
