Easton residents have the opportunity to cool off and explore local history for free during the dog days of summer this July! The Old Colony History Museum in Taunton announced in a recent press release that thanks to the support from the Easton Cultural Council, Easton residents will enjoy free admission to the museum for the entire month of July. The museum is currently running its Summer Spotlight campaign, which aims to showcase the rich heritage of neighboring Old Colony towns. As part of the program, the OCHM has curated a special exhibition featuring artifacts with distinctive connections to Easton throughout its gallery spaces. Visitors with children will find the experience particularly rewarding, as the museum offers an Easton-specific scavenger hunt designed to engage younger guests while they learn about local history.
“Regional history ties communities together in meaningful and exciting ways, and we’re thrilled to share those connections with as many people as possible through programs like Summer Spotlight,” said Katie MacDonald, Executive Director at OCHM. “We’re thrilled to offer free access for the month of July to residents of Easton, and we’re incredibly grateful to the Easton Cultural Council for making this possible.”
To take advantage of this limited-time opportunity, Easton residents can simply visit the museum's website at oldcolonyhistorymuseum.org/visit/ and enter promo code EASTON2025 when reserving tickets. Don't miss this chance to discover fascinating connections between Easton and the broader Old Colony region while enjoying a welcome break from the summer heat!
